The CL1 is the entry level machine into the CL lathe, designed to satisfy the more serious turner but at an economic price.
Newly upgraded to feature a cam lock tool rest and tailstock, this is the entry level machine into the CL lathe range. The CL1 is a heavy weight cast iron lathe with solid chromed bed bars, in fact these are the same bed bars which are fitted to the professional standard CL3 lathe. Also shared with the CL3 is the No.1 MT tailstock, a chunky item which carries plenty of weight to dampen vibration when spindle turning. The headstock of course is cast in grey iron and fitted a No.1 MT spindle, sealed bearings ensure smooth running and offer generous bowl turning capacities, 15" if the headstock is swivelled. This lathe is perfect for the serious woodturner who requires a versatile yet reasonably priced lathe.
Please note for illustration purposes the CL1 is shown fitted with optional extras: RPLB24-48 legstand, RP4000 chuck, CL3B end bracket, and CWA180 tubular bowl rest, these are not included in the standard product.
